The Falcon Story
Mary Panagiotakis establishes Falcon International.
On February 27th, Patrick acquires Falcon, with Mary remaining involved; the company then has 7 employees.
Alexandre Van Gent, Patrick’s brother, becomes a co-owner on August 6th.
The Falcon America office opens its doors in Chicago, Illinois, in January.

When I was 12 years old, I was a “paperboy”. My job was to deliver the newspaper in time, intact and at the right address.
What I did not know then is that I was already working in Logistics. What I knew was that if I could deliver my client’s cargo on-time, in good condition and do it consistently, I would get more clients. And I did. This is at the core of our business today.

In 2014, Falcon was sold to Patrick Legault, whose leadership expanded our reach across North America while upholding our core values.

Twenty years ago, while working in the administration department of a freight forwarding company, I discovered a deep passion for logistics and its pivotal role in shaping global trade.
The intricate dance of moving goods across borders ignited a spark in me—a realization that logistics isn’t just about transportation; it’s about connecting people, businesses, and cultures.
Fueled by this newfound enthusiasm and a wealth of experience, I took a bold leap in November 2005 to launch my own freight forwarding business, Falcon International.
My vision was clear: to create a company that prioritizes exceptional customer service while providing innovative solutions to the common challenges faced by shippers.
I wanted Falcon to be a beacon of reliability and creativity in an industry that often felt rigid and impersonal.
With an exceptional team by my side, we set out on a mission to redefine logistics. Every day was an opportunity to innovate and elevate the shipping experience, and we poured our hearts and souls into making Falcon a trusted partner for our clients.
In 2014, I made the bittersweet decision to sell Falcon International to Patrick Legault, a visionary leader who has since transformed the company from a small team of 7 to a thriving family of just about 40, with offices spanning Canada and the U.S. Under his guidance, we have maintained Falcon’s core values, ensuring that our commitment to excellence remains unwavering.
Now, a decade later, I am proud to still be part of this journey, working alongside a dedicated team committed to redefining logistics. This journey has been a whirlwind of challenges and triumphs, each moment reinforcing my belief in the power of collaboration and innovation. Together, we are not just navigating the complexities of global trade; we are crafting a legacy of service and excellence that I am proud to be a part of.
